Greetings from Washington State
Hello Myflightdeck members,
My name is Philip Wilson and I own Aerorush.com.
In 1986 I had the chance to sit in the cockpit of a F-4 Phantom II which had crashed several years earlier. The aircraft was in excellent shape as it only run off the runway at high speed. It was a total loss, but sitting in the front pit I thought of how cool it would be to make it a simulator. Now remember, simulators in those days were primarily military owned and the few home computer based programs were extremely crude. Since I had some experience with US Navy simulators I knew it was possible to make a sim from the F-4 cockpit.
I haven't started the project, but it is always in my thoughts and on my bucket list.
In 1998 I met a man who owned Cyber Flight Cafe. He had 30 computers networked, all running Flight Simulator 98. He had built mini cockpits for each station and I thought about how much you could do with todays technology.
Just some thoughts...

Hello Philip!
Now that is something that would be awesome to accomplish: F4 Phantom II simulator! It's funny that coincidentally, the F4 Phantom is one of the airplanes that really captivated my love for Aviation. I remember the F4 and F14 as being my all-time favorite jet fighters. That is where it all started for me, then Top Gun sealed the fate! hahahaha
Nice to have you around, Philip and best of wishes on your Aerorush endeavor!

Hey HondaCop,
Like you, I'm an F-14 and F-4 nut. As an FS junkie myself I have owned every FS version of both. Alphasim's F-4 for FS9 is amazing. I wish they would do an FSX version. As for freeware and payware both, I feel Dino Cattaneo has the best Tomcat design period. He has given Aerorush permission to host his new FSX version and I added a link to an excellent freeware soundset. Dino also has a beautiful BEe T-45C which is also on our site. All of his designs are freeware so the price is perfect.

Nice!! I remember back in the Amiga 500 days (late 1980s), when I used to have this sim call F-19 Stealth Fighter. WOW, the memories! I was a teenager at the time, and boy did I have a blast learning about stealth technology and such. What a sim indeed.
I also remember Falcon 4. I believe it's still alive but it's really showing it's age.
